ESL Practicum Final Reflection. I completed my ESL teaching preservice practicum at Riverview Elementary School in De Soto, Kansas. The ESL program at this particular school focuses on small group pull-out instruction by grade level.. In addition to the everyday lesson activities, the Rigby curriculum provides teachers with a guided reading.
Most importantly, I learned that when you put 100% into your work, the final grade really does show. In my final portfolio, the first paper I have chosen to include is the Personal Narrative. This was the first essay I wrote in college English. I think it is important because when I read it; I can look back and see how my writing skills have.
Though a reflection paper is a type of academic essay, it’s much less formal than other essays you write in school. You have the chance to take on a more casual tone, adopt the first-person writing style (unless stated otherwise by your teacher), and give your opinion on the chosen topic.
English 111: A Personal Reflection As the semester comes to a close this assignment provides an excellent opportunity to look back on my experiences in this class. It has become quite evident to me that I have grown a substantial amount as a writer and as a person as a result of my participation in this class.
